Alphabe-Thursday...the letter C

Welcome to Alphabe-Thursday. Today's lesson is the letter C. Visit our teacher, Jenny, and enjoy all the contributions to the letter C.

Of course the letter C can stand for children at play.
Or it can stand for CAT as you can see from this photo of my daughter's cat, Boston. I love this picture!

The letter C also stands for CHOCOLATE which is my answer to the Hormone Replacement Therapy dilemma!
And the letter C can also represent my Uncle Pat's 1960 or 1961 Cadillac Car.
And since this is a lesson, let's not forget that C can stand for Cursive. Here are two papers from my early childhood that show a sample of my manuscript and the beginning of my cursive. As I kept writing "A ball will roll", my hand got tired and I started to make funny "b's" and "w's" as evident in the bottom few lines of the paper on the right.
My cursive improved greatly in the 3rd. grade because I got a 100% and a red star!
I hope that you all enjoyed today's lesson on the letter C and please visit other participants.

I love all your C's. That car is so neat....and the cat photo cracked me up! What a fun and fanciful C post! And I love that you still have your school papers. We grew up military and I think my Mom threw everything away so we could always travel light!

You may have an extra recess today!

A+

Absolutely perfect post for our lesson the the letter C. You deserve that A+ from Mrs. Matlock!

What fun that you still have examples of your work from elementary school. It's a shame that many schools now don't think it important to teach handwriting.
