Wreath

Several months ago I was at a Goodwill store in Tucson and I found a BIG, nice, plain green wreath sitting on a shelf and it was marked down to $3.99! I passed it a few times while looking at other things but I kept going back to it for some odd reason.  I finally decided to buy the wreath and haul it to my house in Chandler.  This monstrous wreath sat on a bed in a spare room for months until I realized that I really needed to do something with it.

Several days after Christmas I walked into Michael's fully expecting all the Christmas decor to be gone but it wasn't!  I found this gigantic bow for $2.00 and knew that the wreath was big enough to accommodate its size so I purchased it with high hopes of adding Christmas ornaments to the bow and wreath.  However, after putting on several ornaments, I decided that I didn't like the look.

So back to Michael's to look for "things" that I could add to this monstrous wreath!  I found some pieces to fill in the wreath while keeping with colors that were variations of the pink bow.  So while my husband watched the 500 football games on New Year's Day,  I played with the "things" and decorated the wreath.  I'll leave it up all year because it's too big to store anywhere!  I'm going to put different themed wreaths on each door and leave them up as reminders of the various things happening in each month.  My next project...a Valentine wreath followed by Easter followed by......you get the idea!
